A 3 Way Plug Valve works by rotating a plug inside the valve body to direct the flow of liquid or gas through one of three ports. The plug has a hole or passage that lines up with the valve openings to allow, block, or divert the flow. These valves can be configured in either L-port or T-port patterns, depending on the application need, whether it’s splitting, mixing, or switching flow direction.
Different seat materials are used to match various media and temperatures. PTFE and RPTFE are excellent for general use and chemical resistance. CFT and GFT offer better performance in higher temperature or pressure conditions, while TFM-1600 provides excellent sealing in aggressive chemical setups. AIRA-250 is specially designed for durability. The valves also come with different end connection options such as flanged, threaded, or socket-welded types, making them suitable for various pipeline systems.
