How Pilot Operated Piston Type Solenoid Valves Work?

The Pilot Operated Piston Type Solenoid Valve works on a smart electro-magnetic principle. There is a coil that is attached to a pilot with a loaded spring. In the normal stage, the spring keeps the pilot to the orifice that bars the fluid from flowing. When the coil energized with the electric current, the electromagnetic field lifts the pilot from the orifice and lets the fluid flow smoothly. As soon as the coil is de-energised by stopping the electric current, the loaded spring pushes back the pilot to its original position.
